Sophie Lippert

Sophie Lippert is a classical pianist, piano teacher, and founder of Connections Concert Series, praised for her dynamism, warmth, sensitivity, and expressiveness. Notable appearances include soloist roles with the Seattle Philharmonic, Seattle Symphony, and Olympia Symphony, features at TEDxPortland and the Portland Art Museum, and on-air performances at All Classical Portland. She has released two albums: Time Travel and Seaside, which are available on all streaming platforms. Sophie was sole proprietor of Vibrant Studios, an art, yoga, and wellness collective, from 2012-18, and in 2018 toured a solo piano recital program around the country. In 2019, Sophie founded Connections Concert Series, an innovative and exploratory multi-genre concert series featuring the Pacific Northwest’s finest classical, jazz, world, and pop musicians. In 2020, she released her first full-length CD, and in 2021 founded The Connections Sessions, an online membership program centered around music and intentional living. In 2022, Sophie spent the year in Tel Aviv, Israel, serving as All Classical Portland’s International Arts Correspondent, and recording an EP featuring three brilliant Israeli female composers. As an entrepreneur, Sophie is committed to harnessing music as a conduit for connection and community, and performing and sharing music by underexposed composers. As a piano instructor, Sophie harnesses her 15 years of experience and expertise, and lends an intelligent, intuitive, spirited approach to teaching and learning. Sophie offers lessons in her home studio in North Amherst, and specializes in working with teens and adults of all levels.
