I enjoy teaching children and adults alike, focusing on beginning and intermediate levels. My approach combines the teaching of fundamental theory and performance skills with finding the kind of music that will inspire individual students to study with passion and to play confidently and expressively. Most important to me is passing on to my students a love of music and the piano.
I received my B.A. Phi Beta Kappa from Brandeis University and an M.A. in Expressive Arts Therapy from Lesley College. Before finally becoming a piano teacher, I was a therapist, art teacher and painter and lived for 10 years in Germany and Israel. I studied the piano privately for 15 years with Sylvia Chambless and Eugenie Malek.
